FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Local Company’s Success Sparks Name Change

Legacy Metals, LLC of Hopkinsville Kentucky plans to adopt the original family brand and logo soon.

Hopkinsville, Kentucky - March 3, 2025 - Legacy Metals began operations in 2017 as a joint venture of brothers including Lewis, Matt, and Derek Stoll, and was modeled after the family business, Summertown Metals of Summertown, Tennessee.

Summertown Metals was established by their father, John Stoll, over 19 years ago and is currently owned and operated by brothers Matt and Derek Stoll, with locations in Summertown, Tennessee, Hayden, Alabama, and Morristown, Tennessee.

Summertown Metals is widely recognized in Tennessee and surrounding states as the premier builder of barndominium homes, post frame buildings, and other structures featuring metal siding and roofs, completing 6,000 structures yearly. The company’s manufacturing operations include metal siding and trim, wood trusses, and steel trusses, while its retail operations provide a variety of building materials.

Legacy Metals, with similar operations and business model, has grown rapidly, completing just shy of 1000 structures across Kentucky and surrounding states in the past year alone.

Lewis Stoll, CEO of Legacy Metals states that “The success of both ventures has created a unique problem of market overlap, so now we appear to the public to be two competing companies, when we are actually one family.”

Over the course of 2025 Legacy Metals will be shifting ownership and adopting the Summertown Metals brand and operate as Summertown Metals of Hopkinsville.

Matt Stoll, owner at both facilities says: “The team at Hopkinsville has done a great job. Expansion plans are already underway at the Hopkinsville location to support the growth. There will be a visual shift, but the commitment our family and the team have to developing and providing the highest quality products and services will always stay the same.”

The company is excited to be able to further expand operations in Hopkinsville by fully combining resources and buying power, which will result in new jobs, services, and better prices for customers.
